Orthoses, Lower Limb, Ankle, Immobilizer

Definition : Lower-limb ankle orthoses designed for maximum restriction of movements and/or total immobilization of the ankle joint. These immobilizers usually consist of prefabricated or custom-made orthoses, including semi-rigid leg cuffs and foot components that unload the pressure on the ankle joint, reducing partially or completely its motion.
