Towels, Surgical

Definition : Sterile towels designed for use during surgical procedures. These towels, usually made from absorbent cotton, are available in different sizes and colors. Surgical towels are used mainly in surgical and/or other procedures for purposes such as keeping a sterile environment for the incision site and wiping or absorbing exudates or other fluids; they can be also used as liners for procedure trays. The towels are supplied in sanitized packages for single use or as nonsterile, autoclavable items.
