Definition : Paper sheets designed for placement on the surface of an examination device, providing a clean contact resting surface for a patient's chin. These products usually consists of a sheet of lightweight tissue or crepe absorbent paper shaped to match the characteristics of the device surface (e.g., hole locations). Chin rest paper sheets are usually supplied in boxes containing many individual single-use (i.e., disposable) sheets; the paper sheets are mainly used in devices intended for ophthalmic diagnostic (e.g., slit lamps).
